Burris
Burris delivers soul-stirring melodies and heartfelt lyrics, evoking deep emotions and promising a captivating and introspective musical journey. Described as “a gumbo of music,” Burris is a roots-rock New Orleanian with modern influences from the likes of Wilco and Ray LaMontagne as well as older influences like the Funky Meters and Blood Sweat and Tears. The nationally touring artist has performed at New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Fest, French Quarter Fest, Festival International and more! Burris will be a featured artist at the 2024 Pensacola Beach Songwriters Festival and his song "Willow" has won the Folk Category in the writing contest presented by the Fest. Burris has had tracks featured on The Syfy Channel, Lifetime Network, WGNO News with a Twist, Inside New Orleans, and 504 TV, and has charted top 150 on NACC Radio Charts. Currently Burris is working on an EP set to be recorded through residency at Embassy Studios and released in spring 2025. For 30A Songwriter Festival Burris is joined by his keyboardist extraordinaire, Benjamin Herringon from Minos The Saint.
