In 2019 her album ‘Diane Durrett & Soul Suga LIVE’ was reviewed as “Killer, high octane soul
throughout" rose to #5. In 2017 she was a Global Peace Song Award winner for ‘The River
Sings’ co-written with percussionist Melissa Junebug. Durrett was the winner of the 2015
‘People's Choice Award’ by Atlanta Blues Society. In 2023 the ABS selected Diane as their
Honorary Lifetime Award recipient.
She’s in her seventh year as an elected board member of the Atlanta Chapter of the Recording
Academy, currently is co-chair of the Songwriter & Composer wing ATL. Her songs and voice
have been featured in Film. Song catalog includes co-writes with William Bell, Jerry Ragovoy
and Emily Sailers. She has sung with or opened for Sting, Gregg Allman, The Indigo Girls, Tina Turner, and Faith Hill.
