Donnie Sundal

Grammy Nominated, Donnie Sundal, truly exemplifies the versatility of a musical artist. Drawing from a diverse palate of sounds, his voice and sound is soulful, funky, and always rock solid.  Donnie’s ability to weave seamlessly among genres, and most importantly, his respect for his art,  has earned him the respect of his peers and allowed him to perform and record alongside many of today's well known artists - including Sam Bush, George Porter Jr., Ivan Neville, Col. Bruce Hampton. 


After studying at Berklee College of Music, in Boston, he toured Canada from Ontario to Newfoundland. He and his family eventually found themselves in Destin, Florida, home base since 1994. 


Donnie’s solo record in 2009, “Falling through the Cracks'' displays true artistry. He produced the album, alongside Phil Garrod, at his own studio, Neptone Recording, in Destin FL, Established in 2007.Donnie Sundal’s 2023 Grammy nomination is for his work with Sam Bush - “Radio John - Songs of John Hartford”. The album has been nominated for Best Bluegrass Album. Donnie is one of the initial recording engineers with his studio, Neptone Recording and also sings tenor on the song “In Tall Buildings”.
